One day a door to another world suddenly opens in the city of Mikado. The invincible aliens against the weapons of the earth, called "neighbors", are starting to come over. Earth's only line of defense is a mysterious group called "Frontier" armed with weapons called "Triggers".  Four years later, the city has recovered from the initial attacks and the citizens of Mikado City have started to get used to them. The neighbor's attacks. Yuma Kuga, a transfer student, and his classmate Osamu Mikumo fight a neighbor who suddenly shows up. Osamu, who is actually a border agent, activates his trigger but cannot defeat him. This allows Yuma to activate his own trigger and defeat the alien. Yuma reveals that he is not part of Border and is actually a neighbor who has been moved from the other side.

The two go on a journey together in the working robot. The "cost" of curiosity ... the truth "that they eventually discovered ... This is an epic father and daughter journey on the theme of family love.
